Fall 2018 Online Accessibility Basics Series
Kennesaw State University’s Accessibility Basics Workshop Series gives learners the opportunity to discover strategies for designing instruction and academic materials to meet the needs of students with disabilities and diverse learning needs. Participants are introduced to KSU's Web Accessibility Policy, the W3C’s WCAG 2.0 AA standards, Section 508 guidelines, basic tenants of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and principles of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act as it informs higher education policy. Learners are provided with resources on both KSU campuses to help with design & development needs. This hands-on series guides the learner through the process of modifying existing materials to meet standards or developing new materials with accessibility in mind.
*Please note that the accessibility basics series is fully online and run through D2L.
